Walmart will introduce AI “Super Agents” to support customer purchasing experiences – and to spark the growth of online shopping.
The world’s largest retailer announced that he will soon be launching four agents operated by Agentic AI. The agents in which artificial intelligence as an assistant, sometimes even without human commitment, would do justice to certain groups such as customers, employees, suppliers and sellers and software developers.
The superagents will soon be the contact point for each AI interaction that these groups have with the retail giants, as the company is trying to enter with Amazon with online sales.
Walmart, which reported an annual turnover of 648 billion US dollars last year, hopes to use AI to further expand the online turnover. The company is currently channeling 50 percent of its total turnover to E -Commerce.
One of the new superagents, a tool called Sparky, was already available in Walmart’s app.

As soon as Sparky has initiated its “Super Agent” form, it can be the previous articles that have bought customers, plan events and even offer recipes based on what the customer already has at home, said Hari Vasudev, Chief Technology Officer von Walmart, during an event on Wednesday.
Walmart also plans to publish an “associated” superagent to help workers and company employees to do administrative tasks. These employees are currently using different AI tools to do these tasks.
The company also develops “Marty” for sellers, suppliers and advertisers. The Super Agent will optimize the onboarding process, manage orders and create advertising campaigns.
Walmart also works on a “developer” superagent who will test all future AI tools, the company said.
“Agents can help automate and simplify pretty much everything we do,” said Suresh Kumar, Chief Technology Officer from Walmart. He added that the company has now launched these superagents because “customers are ready to use AI in pretty much everything they are doing”.
Walmart declined to say whether the new superagent would replace jobs.
