Voting: Survey of the day: Should England’s Euro win 2025 be marked with a bank vacation?

The dramatic penalty shot against Spain in the final of the euro 2025 triggered nationwide celebrations – and demanded the demand for a bank vacation to celebrate historical victory.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starrer surprisingly performed alongside his wife Victoria in the Stadium in Basel and described the lionesses as a “history maker” after seeing how they defended their European title.

Her victory was celebrated not only as a football triumph, but also as a cultural milestone in the continuing struggle for equality and recognition in sport.

Sir Keir previously supported a “real holiday” when England reached the Euro 2022 final, and said that the success of the team was to be honored with a nationwide event to promote the participation of women and girls in football.

Now many ask if this last victory should trigger the same conversation.

The FA confirmed that there will be an open bus parade along the shopping center before the ceremony in the Queen Victoria Memorial. However, an official banking vacation was not announced.
