The second World Coco-Gais World Koko-Gais fought on Thursday through another hard threesome, which gathered from a set and a separation to defeat Veronika Kudermetova and reach the fourth round of the WTA Canadian Open.
The best of the American, who won her second Grand Slam title in Roland Garros, fought her serve again, but thought her nerve for a 4: 6, 7: 5, 6: 2 against the former Kudermetova in the world number nine.

“The goal of the game is to survive and progress,” said Gauf. “It’s not my best, but it was good enough for today and that’s all I can ask for.”
Gauff arrived in Montreal after losing her tournament openers in Wimbledon and Berlin after their triumph of their French Open.
In her first game in Montreal, she fought powerfully and, despite 23 double mistakes, achieved a victory over Danielle Collins.
The numbers against Kudermetova were not quite as ugly, but 14 double errors are damaged.
Seven of them came in the first set when GaISF had a 4-1 lead removed.
She had three more double mistakes in the opening game of the second set to hand over a service break, but broke back to the level of the set with 3: 3 and broke Kudermetova to force a third to take a 2-0 lead and drive home from there.

“I am sure that everyone could read my body language,” said GaISF, whose frustration was clear.
“But I am very proud of myself mentally. There are obviously parts of my game to work, one of which is the serve.
“And the fact that I win these games is definitely something that I can be proud of.”
In other promotions in the third round, the American McCartney Kessler shocked world number five Mirra Andreeva, which had a strong start, but could not keep up in a 7-6 (7/5) loss.
Andreeva, the 18-year-old Russian, who electrified the WTA this year with consecutive 1000 level, played her first tournament since a quarter-finals in Wimbledon and her first game of the week after a goodbye in the first round and a walker in the second round.

She jumped to a fast 3-1 lead, but Kessler gained a break twice and after Andreeva had failed two attempts to train the opening kit, the American won the last three points of the tie-reader to put the set.
Kessler confiscated the initiative in the second and Andreeva broke twice on the way to a 4-1 lead.
She worsened for the inconsistent Andreeva, who had hard spill in the second set, and took a medical time to let her left ankle in a worrying sign with the US Open, which could be at the beginning on August 24th.
Kessler fights for her first WTA 1000 quarter-finals against Ukraine Marta Kostyuk, which Daria Kasatkina defeated with 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7/4).
