There is a new form of fraud to pay close attention – and it could take place directly under your nose.
According to the psychotherapist of couples, Debbie Keenan, people should be careful before the digital fraud, which she says is “the new emotional matter”. Keenan tells Yahoo UK that digital fraud could contain everything, from inappropriately an SMS of a colleague to a message from someone on only fans.
“It could be any online interaction,” she explains. “Basically, it is this excitement after she has sent someone or received a notification,” she explains. “No matter whether it is a text, a comment, a like … If you receive external confirmation and your self -esteem is strengthened, this is not innocent.
Keenan says she sees digital fraud “almost with fraud” because of the result. “You flirt and your attention is somewhere else – not at your partner at home. Your attention is on who contacts you. This is digital fraud.”
Here you can find out how to recognize the signs and what to do if you suspect that your partner is unfaithful.
4 characters, someone cheats digital digital
Change your profile picture
According to Keenan, someone who previously had a profile picture of himself with his partner or family could only change it to a photo of himself.
“Sometimes I see that and I think: ‘Oh, is there something there? Why are you going to prove that you are in a couple or a family?'” “She asks.
Buying a new phone
While some people may have two phones – one for work and one for personal use – says Keenan, if you are worried that your partner is digitally cheating, make sure that you buy a second device completely out of the blue.
“Many people have two phones, but if someone goes out and buying a separate phone, it would be a sign,” she adds, and says that it would be easier for them. “If you were innocent, you wouldn’t have any other phone, you wouldn’t turn the phone [away] And you wouldn’t bring your phone to the bathroom. “
Be secret
“There are other signs when they are distracted or if you receive a notification, you could go to another room or take your phone with you anywhere,” says Keenan.
“There could even be subtle things, such as smiling when you get a message. But your phone to hide from you is obvious. Even if you change your passwords.”
Be removed in the bedroom
Another sign that you can watch closely is whether your partner’s affection has decreased to you.
“You may also be far away in the bedroom and may not initiate sex. You will know that something is not,” explains Keenan.
What to do if you suspect that your partner is unfaithful
Keep notes on your suspicion
If you suspect that your partner has a digital affair, Keenan recommends that you follow your intuition and keep your suspicion of “building evidence” before addressing you.
Pay attention to your body language
“Also watch your body language,” she continues. “Do you observe when you receive a notification, are you distracted, are you not available?
“If you are suspicious, you almost pretend you to investigate, but it’s from a quiet place. Be more aware of how you are with the phone around you. And then I would have this conversation, I would say: ‘Listen, I have the feeling that something is going on and I just ask myself.'”
Keenan says this approach protects you if you do something like a surprise party, but she says that she is “99% sure” that it would actually be a matter if you show all the above signs.
Talk to a therapist
Keenan adds: “If you become defensive or even if you accidentally pick up the listener and are a bit harmful, you will know that not everything is in your head.”
It comes to the conclusion that it is important to trust her stomach, and recommends looking for a therapist and setting up limits.
