There was a predictable and understandable response to the Morgan Gibbs-White saga of dismayed Tottenham Hotspur fans who hoped that a first European trophy would change the course of the club in 41 years.
It may still be done, and after Japanese 20-year-old Kota Takai, Mohammed Kudus was a good start in relation to the obligation for the new head coach Thomas Frank. But maybe more relevant than the lack of income to follow Kudus so far, Tottenham’s failure to sell a single player in the first team with the new Premier League season in just two weeks.

Talk to fans of competing clubs and you will tell you that Tottenham’s biggest problem is a perceived failure. But talk to those who are informed about the internal functioning of the club and the former insider, and you will tell you that sales are the place at the Spurs really fall.
The North London Club has been open to offers for midfielder Yves Bissoumera and striker Richarlison for over a year, and yet both players are currently on the club tour of the club in Asia.
It is interested in Tottenham, Joao Paulinha of Bayern Munich, but sales must be achieved first, and it seems that bissouma is currently standing in the way of this specific deal.
The failure to unload Yves bissoora
Frank would like to sign Yoane Wissa from his old club Brentford. But can Tottenham really sign another striker who can deliver deep and from wide areas, while Richarlison is part of the squad? In the meantime, Newcastle United has played its own game for Wissa.

Since her Champions League final in 2019, Tottenham have been the fifth largest expenditure in relation to the transfer fees in the world. According to the transfer market, however, they take 44th place for sales in the same period after they collected 293.6 million GBP.
These inconspicuous numbers are massively supported by the guaranteed £ 86.5 million Spurs for Harry Kane from Bayern Munich two years ago.
Including Kane, Tottenham, has used £ 10 million or more on only 13 players since the final appearance of the Champions League six years ago. Four of the starters from the defeat by Liverpool in Madrid finally left free transfers.
Only one player of the final starter of the Champions League, Son Heung-Min, stays in Tottenham. The rest on the left for a combined £ 152.9 million GBP – less than Chelsea will immerse yourself in sales in this transmission window. Without Kane, this number falls to only £ 66.4 million.
Chelsea and Liverpool have underlined how important it is to be good sellers and effective buyers this summer. How Spurs likes to unload an undesirable player like Joao Felix for a deal worth over 30 million pounds to Saudi Arabia or 65.5 million GBP for a 28-year-old who is most likely at his climax like Luis Diaz.

Chelsea has earned almost 1 billion GBP for the sale of players since 2019 – more than the charm what Spurs have made. Aston Villa, which was promoted to the Premier League in 2019, lodged 416.6 million GBP. It seems strange that Tottenham does not yet have to benefit from the inflated Saudi Arabian market used by Chelsea and villa.
Tottenham’s inability, for sale, are set on two main factors by sources near the club. Unrealistic reviews and the failure to identify the best time to earn the players – even if this could initially be unpopular.
Son could leave Spurs after a decade of incredible service this summer when LAFC follows her interest in an offer. But with one year of his contract and now 33 years old, Tottenham can no longer guarantee a big fee for the South Korean fee.
Winning a trophy with Tottenham would prove to be a suitable end for the son if he started after the preparatory tour, although data-nerds that do not deal with emotions point out that the numbers show the time for the amount of money two years ago.

Defender Cristian Romero was a top -class departure from Spurs this summer, and Frank will be happy, who has not yet proven to be the case when the club refused to be bullied by Atletico Madrid.
But Romero only has two years in his contract and without a new deal being agreed, there is a ticking watch in its future and how long Tottenham can really afford to play hard ball.

Sources that thought that Romero would leave Spurs this summer remain pessimistically about the club’s chances of establishing him to a long-term contract that would open the Doomsday option that he will be pounding free of charge in 2027.

Not since son in 2021, Tottenham has tied a star player to a new long-term contract. Some believe that the best players in the club know that their only chance to keep their future in their own hands instead of signing them to the chairman Daniel Levy.
The sale of Romero this summer would clearly be an unpopular and risky decision. But losing him the next summer because of a reduced fee or, worse, for free in two years, the negligence would limit. Now the perfect time for Levy would be to deduct the club’s most important contract extension since son four years ago.
Former manager Mauricio Pochettino wanted Levy to sanction a club of the Spurs squad in summer 2019, immediately after the final of the Champions League. But it was the Argentinian who finally went instead and Frank is the youngest head coach who is waiting for the sale to be made.
