The government deals with Google to offer free technology for public services in Great Britain

A contract with Google will mean that the Tech giant offers free technology for the British state services from the NHS to the municipal councils.

Technology secretary Peter Kyle said that he was determined to free himself from the “ball-and-chain” technology, which is used in more than a quarter of the systems of the public sector and around 70% of police forces and NHS trust.

He said Google could invest hundreds of millions in the British technology of the public sector as part of the partnership, which means that the government is not paid.

The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Technology said Google has no access to the public sector data.

The agreement exists as part of a departure from outdated computer technology to cloud systems, whereby the security integrated into it is integrated.

The aim is to ensure that information about services is more easily available and save up to £ 45 billion.

“We are looking for the Legacy Technology sector, which costs taxpayers an absolute fortune and leaves us susceptible to failures and cyber attacks,” Kyle told Google Clouds London summit.

Google Cloud also checks the development of a single platform in order to monitor and react in the British government, since cyber threats are increasingly.

Mr. Kyle also asked other technology companies to “bring their best ideas, bring our best technology and bring it to the best price”.

“Too long too long have not done enough to build up the positive business relationships that Great Britain needs to prevent taxpayers from being procured in the procurement of technologies in a short-changing health services, police systems, up to performance processes and trash can collections to the roadside,” he told the Summit.
