The former Olympic champion and world champion Mu-Nikolayev suffered a disappointment when she qualified for the World Championship on Friday after being eliminated in the semi-finals of the 800 m at the US athletics championships.
Mu-Nikolayev conquered the world in 2021 and won a dazzling 800 m gold and a gold in the 4×400 m season at the Tokyo Olympics, just a few months after he became professional. She added her balance in 2022 Gold World Cup.

Mu-Nikolayev, however, fought over the years to regain this type of form, especially last year in the final of the US Olympic exams, which prevented them from defending their title in Paris.
The 23-year-old Mu-Nikolayev had driven only two 800 m before the championships this week in Eugene, Oregon this week, including a 10th place in the PROTONAINE Classic last month.
She had looked at the opening round on Thursday and qualified in 2 minutes in 2 minutes.
However, in the semifinals on Friday she found fourth place in her race in a time of 1: 59.79.

This time was not good enough to see her progress as one of the fastest losers.
“As I said, this is a big springboard for me this year,” said Mu-Nikolayev after her exit. “I still come here and prepared for everything that would happen and with it satisfied with what would happen.
“I think this is helpful for what I have to go in the next few years. Everything will not be pretty, everything will not be perfect,” she added.
“I just have to make sure that I am not too shaken by old things that happen and occur, and I don’t always hold these things.”
