Nottingham Forest has confirmed the appointment of the former Arsenal sports director Edu Edu as Global Head of Football.
Edu surprised many when he resigned from Gunners from Gunners last year, and was soon confirmed in a leading role as part of the Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis’ Stall of Club, which also includes Olympiacos and Rio Ave FC.

Edu has now been appointed in a newly created role in the Forest to “monitor football operations”. He said to the club’s official website: “I am very happy about this new chapter and was honored by the trust in myself. This project is deeply connected with my values in terms of innovation and long -term planning.
“I look forward to building a global football model that corresponds competitive, sustainable and the ambition of our president.”
The President of the Club Marinakis added: “We are very happy to welcome EDU in our football family. His global experience, values and gain in minds perfectly vote on our goal of strengthening and expanding our international football platform.”
