Steve Smith back for the second West -Indies test after the contorted finger

Steve Smith has recovered from an evil finger and will return to Australia’s second test against the West Indian islands this week at the expense of Josh Inglis, Skipper Pat Cummins said.

Smith injured Lord’s fingers three weeks ago when he fell into the briefs during the world test championship final and was taken to the hospital.

It exhibited him for the first test in Barbados, which Australia won with 159 runs, and he was painfully missed because the top order of the team did not fire.

“He is ready to go, his finger was well,” said Cummins on Wednesday in St. George’s in Grenada, and the 36-year-old, who was doing with a rail.

He will bring in fourth place after Inglis had not taken his opportunity and only made five and 12.

While Inglis misses, the selectors have captured the teenager Sam Konstas as a usman Khawajas opening partner and the subordinate kammer runs by three people and opposed an urge to bring the Axed Marnus Labusnagne back that stays with the squad.

The team is otherwise unchanged, and the strong combination of Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood leads the attack again.

“He was very happy, particularly Schlagsch,” added Cummins from Smith, who probably does not occur in his usual slip position.

“Fielding we still have to manage it a little.

“So he may not be too often in the slips -maybe he will be fine, but (for the) quicks he may have to wait another week.”

Australia has never played a test at St. George and only visited once for a one -day day in 2008.

Cummins said it was an unknown and vice captain back to help him solve the problem was a bonus.

“This is one of his great strengths,” he said about the 117 test veteran.

“He has achieved Runs all over the world and that means that he didn’t play a game here, but seems to find out pretty quickly what needs to be done and where her goal areas are.

“Of course, this knowledge will be helpful, especially for the boys who have not really played too many tests or first -class games in similar gates.”
