In response to 498, Warwickshire was triggered for 351 and reached the 349 sequence with only two winders. Alex Davies met 78 (186 balls), Sam Hain 78 (170) and Tom Latham 65 (158).
Somerset closed the third day with 116 for three, a total of 263 in advance, a commanding position, but it is unlikely that he will win in a batter -friendly place that does not worsen.
Somerset’s Seemanns opened excellently after Warwickshire was resumed for one on the third morning at 158. Matt Henry previously brought Kiwi Latham into the bottle with a sequence of girls to add his overnight. Five over and only six runs, later, came up when he displaced overton, where Tom Kohler-Cadmore a good catch, low to his right.
Jacob Bethell, who was promoted to four, struck until lunch when he circled a train in overton to the edge. The Wicketkeeper collected again shortly after the interval when Ed Barnard prompted an injury drive in Overton and all the way back into the pavilion.

When Warwickshire wobbled for five to 235, Somerset had the whole reason to regret her ruthlessness on the second afternoon with the bat. A follow -up of 550 would have put the home side under pressure, but 349 was within reach, if only, just just.

Kai Smith and an increasingly expansive grove added 66, Hain drove 50 out of 133 balls and celebrated with two six in a row in one over by Jack Leach. Smith delivered the fifth catch from Rew with a leg-side ticket overton and when grove crashed in the final in front of the tea Leach to slip, Warwickshire was left with three gates just before the following figure.
Corey Rocchiccioli reacted aggressively with 28 out of 31 balls, Migael Pretorius was still necessary at ten. This was followed by tense moments for the home team until Ethan Bamber was the other way around to avert the following and rather reduce the match on a tie. Bamber and Che Simmons soon fell and played the forward defensive, Simmons Bowled by Archie Vaughan and Bamber LBW to lye Leach.
Somerset’s second inner sings started with a few bumps when both openers fell in the first eight overs. Kohler-Cadmore raised Bamber on the middle and Josh Davey’s off-stump paid a high price for his decision to play back Olly Hannon-Dalby.
Tom Lammonby and James Rew added 83 before the former (33, 46) raised Rocchiccioli to Mid-Wicket to waste the opportunity to achieve a third century in successive championships tomorrow.
