England ended up in the so -called “group of death” and was initiated in their first two games a difficult schedule when it was called up in France and the Netherlands against France and the Netherlands.

It leaves Wiegman and her players not a lead for mistakes, but the former Netherlands will not think of anything other than the upcoming task if she hits her former team.

“Just work very hard and do everything to win.”

If England is supposed to score the necessary three points, it must increase its level of performance from their opening.

The Netherlands will be more than happy to punish such mistakes with a similar ruthlessness for the French who fired two in England within three minutes.

“We didn’t do well enough. We want to do better, we want to be less sloppy and we want to make better decisions, but they go to the next game and so we talked about our schedule, we trained it a bit and tomorrow we will go.”

For Wiegman, the next game with the team that she trained with the lionesses before her stay includes.

“I’m fully focusing on England, our team,” she said. “Together with our technical staff and what does we stop: ‘What is our game plan? How are we busy playing the players to prepare them for tomorrow?’

“We trained, we have meeting, we still have a meeting and then we’ll go out there tomorrow and that’s the only thing I think of.”
