Piatri, who runs a lead of eight points against Norris in the middle of the season, Red Bulls Max Verstappen with four tenth with Norris 0.504 seconds behind his McLaren teammate.

George Russell was fourth for Mercedes, a place in front of Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. Lewis Hamilton was sixth and a second out of the pace.
The former Red Bull team director Christian Horner is not available for the first time in 20 years after his dramatic discharge at the beginning of this month.
Horner was released from his position 18 months after his accused when he was accused of an employee of “inappropriate behavior” – although he was relieved twice – and Red Bull’s dramatic slump in shape. The four -time world champion Verstappen has only won four of the last 26 races in which he took part.

The Frenchman Laurent Mekies, Laurent Mekies, occupied Horner’s seat at the Red Bull Pit Wall, and he supervised Verstappen, dividing the McLaren drivers. However, Yuki Tsunoda was only 18th place in the other Red Bull.
Norris followed with successive victories in Spa-Francorchamps after triumphing triumphs and his home race in Silverstone in Austria.

But the British driver seems to switch off his work to stop Piatri in Spa-Francorchamps after the Australian had set a rapid pace in the sole training session on Friday.
Hamilton would have hoped that an improved rear wheel suspension on his Ferrari would reverse his assets. But the seven -time world champion was a distant sixth in his Ferrari.

At the beginning of the session, Hamilton also lived up the anger of Gabriel Bortoleto after the rookie had accused him of slowly driving through the high-speed radillon.
“Buddy what the hell does Hamilton?” he screamed. “He is always in the middle of the route.”
The qualification for the sprint race on Saturday takes place in 1630 local time (1530 BST).
