by A new restaurant from Lisa Goodwin-Allen is scheduled to open in the Beaumont Mayfair in September when the celebrated cook begins a new role as a culinary director.
Goodwin-Allen is best known for keeping a Michelin star in Northcote, Lancashire, for more than two decades and will monitor a new concept called Rosi in the hotel.
On the menu in Rosi, a new interpreting of “playful, creative” classics will be.
A changing list of cakes should be “show stopper”, while steaks will come from the Lake District and Hereford. A “Mayfair Millionaires Cake” will now be a “knowledge bond on the prosperity of the location of the restaurant”.
Rosi will take the space of the colon grill. Press material said that the interior would change and will move away from the “clubby” and “male” feeling of space in order to better reflect his leading cook of the female cook.
Goodwin-Allen is accompanied by chef Brendan Fyldes and the new chef Jozef Rogulski in the project. Rogulski most recently headed the Game Bird’s kitchen in the Stafford, a position that he held for eight years, and a restaurant Goodwin-Allen, which was previously supervised.
The concept and the team were brought together by the CEO des Beaumont, Stuart Procter, as part of his continuous transformation of the hotel. Procter was responsible for many years in the Stafford and transferred many of his old teams. The long -standing and popular bar manager of the Stafford, Benoit Provost, has also passed and now leads the team in Le Magritte Bar.
Procter said: “Rosi represents everything we love about British food: seasonal ingredients, timeless dishes and real warmth.
“With Lisa on the Helm and Brendan and Jozef at their side, we bring a new energy to the Beaumont and newly set up how the food in Mayfair can feel.”
Goodwin-Allen added: “I can’t wait to open the doors to Rosi, it was a pleasure to work with Stuart, Brendan and Jozef to create my house in London.
“Rosi is a restaurant where the menu is full of dishes that you really want to eat, and the atmosphere is just as inviting. I hope Rosi is hugged by Londoners as well as I was.”
