Lennox Lewis expects another “other” Daniel Dubois in the Oleksandr Usyk resignation

Lennox Lewis believes that Oleksandr Usyk will be exposed to a “other” Daniel Dubois in the undisputed world of heavyweight in Wembley and supported the British boxer to step into his footsteps.

Lewis was the last fighter from this country who was undisputed in the Blue Ribolist Division.

Usyk has already won a victory against Dubois in Poland in 2023, but Lewis believes that the 27-year-old from London is no longer the “baby” of the heavyweight scene and willing to capture his date with fate more than 90,000 in the England nation-stadium.

“Dubois was a baby in sports and now he is a man. He was put down, he was hit with a right hand, all possible names mentioned, but he is through that and that is growth,” insisted Lewis.

“He was injured and got up again. I think he has grown as a fighter. You won’t see the same Daniel Dubois 18 months ago. You won’t see the same types. He will be another fighter in this next fight.

“Usyk probably thinks Daniel is a weak mentality, but I think he is a strong mentality.

“I think you have to grow from weak too much. He has obviously prepared for what’s coming and he is ready for this challenge.”

Dubois’ career was at a time after trying a defeat against Usyk 18 months ago by interrupting the ninth round.

Further questions were asked, although they were kept with an illegal low blow for almost four minutes.

The response was impressive that Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic and compatriot Anthony Joshua stopped in a breathtaking way, and Dubois collected the IBF-Belt on the way to fulfilling his lifelong dream.

Dubois’ father Dave, also known as Stan, was in his corner during this fight and always predicted that one day his son would reach the size that Lewis experienced in 1999.

Lewis added: “You have to keep your superpowers with you. If your father is in the corner, this is strength and you need all her strength, especially for this fight.

“It is the greatest struggle of his career, so he has to sacrifice everything and make sure that his team is strong. His father is there, his team is strong.”

It was in Peacock Fitness in Canning Town, where Lewis Dubois saw for the first time and has the feeling that the stars could align on Saturday under the Wembley sheet.
