Isle of Wight Rowing Crews impressed this month (July) on the water in two regattas on the mainland.
The Sandown Shanklin Rowing Club, the Ryde Rowing Club and the Newport Rowing Club brought the crews to the mainland, whereby the regattas Lymington and Calporters were hotly competitive.

Sandown Shanklins J14 Quad from Olivia Mumberson, Alex Collier, Josh Batchelor, Digby Ridgwell and Paul Gamble (Cox) won their races in Lymington, and Esme Walters, who won the Novice Single Sculls and the Junior Ladies Pair with Anna Scott.
In addition to Huseyin Yolcu, Sam Meadowcroft, Isaac King, Fin Diffey and Esme Walters (Cox), their races have also won.

Ryde Women’s Junior Fours by Abi Locke, Fiona Owen, Alexis Owen, Emily Kellerman and Ruby Read (Cox) won their final and Joe Bird and Max Locke, who won the J16 Boys Double Scull.
The women’s enemy crew from Grace Garner, Helen Hopper, Hannah Tuberville, Julia Coulson and Fiona Brooks (Cox), was narrowly beaten, while the open beginner -Crew by Freddie Hollis, Max Gasper, Jude Williams, River Szawawie and Fiona, Hannah Tuberville, Julia Coulson, Helen, Helen Hopper, Hannah Tuberville, Julia and Fiona Brooks (Cox).

The second place was also won by Sandown Shanklin’s girl J16 Quad by Annabelle Steward, Lottie Petttitt. Evie Selway, Rose Collier and Arlo adds (COX) and boys by James Travers, Sam Meadowcroft, Isaac King and Fin Diffy, just lost against pools.
Last weekend in Coalporters Regatta, the Coastal won four by Ryde Rowing Club by Emily Kellerman, Abi Locke, Alexis Owen, Eva Gordon and Ruby Read (COX), while the Open Junior Senior Fours by Will Hall, Paddy Kearney, Charlie Watt, Isaac Gibson and May) (COX).
The junior crew of the Newport Rowing Club by Boris Hare, Connor Garner, Nathaniel Hamilton, Eric Williams and Mariana Hare (Cox) won their races with two lengths, while the open beginner -Crew by Freddie Hollis, Max Gasper, Jude Williams, Riv Szawiel and Fiona Brookes (COX) Third regatta and Fiona Brookes (COX).
The 50 crew by Paul Gamble (Shanklin), Chris Clarke, Julie Clarke and Harry Hare (Cox), were in second place.
