India celebrates when the first international space station Mission begins

India has celebrated another step in his mission to become a space after Shubhanshu Shucla blew up the first astronaut from the country to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday.

Shuckla was on board the private Axiom Space Mission 4 or AX-4, which in the recent mission organized by the Texas startup in collaboration with Elon Muskt Venture SpaceX, was withdrawn from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The private mission includes decorated former NASA astronauts Peggy Whitson as well as Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski from Poland and Tibor Kapu from Hungary-Zwei Further Space-Fight-Novices that become the first from their countries that visit the ISS.

Shucla, the mission’s pilot, is expected to spend about 60 experiments on board the ISS for about two weeks and help before returning home.

According to a statement by the US world space agency, NASA and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) work with the mission.

The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Shucla had “the wishes, hopes and efforts of 1.4 billion Indians in one post on X.

“Wish him and other astronauts all the success!” he wrote.

Shuckla is only the second Indian citizen who travels to space after Rakesh Sharma, who flew on board a Soviet rocket in 1984.

Sharma wished the AX-4 crew well.

“I wish you all the best. To the crew, Godspeed,” he said in a video message published by The Press Trust of India online.

“Spend as much time as possible out of the window.”

Shuclas parents became emotional when they watched a live stream of the explosion in the northern city of Lucknow.

“He is the first person, the first Indian in the ISS. It is really a great moment for us Indians,” the student Isma Tarikh told Reuters. “It’s an inspiration for me … Even I want to be something great and like (Shuckla) are a beginner in the world.”

Another student, Mohammad Hamughan, called it a “proud moment for Indians”.

He said to Reuters: “It inspires me to become space scientists. I always loved reading about sci-fi and all the stuff, but that is inspired for us as a student.”

Shuclas flight is viewed as the forerunner of the Indian own Gaganyaan mission, the country’s first human space mission, to start around 2027.

Four Indian Air Force Pilots selected for this mission have completed the first training in Russia and, according to a declaration by the Indian government in India.

India’s space ambitions have accelerated under Modi, which was elected to a third term in June and tried to assert India’s place on the global stage.

In January it was only the fourth country to successfully achieve unemployed docking in space.

In 2023, India joined an elite space club that became the fourth country that lands a spaceship on the moon. The historical mission of Chandrayaan-3, the first that ends up a soft landing near the unexplored south pole of the moon, has collected samples that help scientists to understand how the moon was formed and developed over time.

The country has also been shaped on the construction of its own space station until 2035, which is called Bharatiya Antariksha station and launched its first orbital mission for Venus in 2028.
