The main protection areas of the ISE Grand Shrine Complex are the outer shrine (GEKU) and the inner shrine (Naiku), which has teamed up to the old pilgrimage path.
Rituals are carried out at Ise-Jingu throughout the season and pray for the prosperity of the imperial house of Japan, a plenty of harvest and global peace. In Japanese Shinto belief, ancestors are revered as a guardian of the family and the power of the natural world is respected. While Amaterasu is the sun goddess, the sea, the rain and the wind also have a specific spirited Kami (deity) and everyone is honored.

Talented craftsman teams – like the priests, are constantly working on preserving Japan’s exquisite old craftsmanship.

Congoshoji was built next to a red drum bridge that comprises a lotus pond to ward off all evil spirits that could try to sweep from the unfavorable northeast in Ise-Jingu.
An important cultural custom to try in any case is the Japanese onsen, a hot feather pool that is heated by geothermal activity with adjacent bathing facilities. Both therapeutically and sociable, stay in the water for 20 minutes if you do not want to be mentioned. Tattoos are prohibited in some Onsen, although others are tattoo-friendly and the sources are enjoyed naked after the first shower.
