England is in the semi-finals of the women’s euro after they had come back twice from the dead to beat Sweden. An astonishing quarter -finals played and how the players reacted after they reached the semi -finals against Italy.
England’s horror in the first half
2 minutes: After only two minutes, a poorly designed pass from Jess Carter Keira Walsh puts under great pressure. Swedens Stina Blackstenius steals, steals the possession and plays in Kosovare Allani, who happily accepts the chance to open the rating. England is back after only two minutes
25 minutes: After much more shaky defense, England gives again. This time Carter is burned by Blackstenius after Sweden sent a search ball. Blackstenius turns a low finish into the corner to double the advantage of Sweden. England looks like toast after less than half an hour.
Comeback No. 1 – two goals in 103 seconds
70 minutes: Sarina Wiegman changes. Carter is replaced by Esme Morgan. The tactical switch pays off – Morgan helps to support the defense.

79 minutes: Beth Mead lays Chloe Kelly, who has space and sails over a centimeter -rich, deep cross over Madelen Janogy’s head and sailing in the direction of Lucy on the long post. The defender follows the ball’s flight and he produces a header from a narrow angle that beats the goalkeeper. Is a comeback on the cards?
81 minutes: Alex Greenwood threads a promising pass through Chloe Kelly, which shows excellent control to turn her marker outwards before sending a tempting cross towards Mead that cannot quite bring her head. Sweden’s defensive fault lines are open and Michelle Agyemang is the first to get and home a low -shot goalkeeper Jennifer Falk Stach. England’s goals only separate 103 seconds.
Extension – Hampton’s bloody nose
The English goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, Hannah Hampton, collides with a Swedish player and her own teammate Alex Greenwood, with the blood stream out of her nose with a Swedish player and her own teammate, apparently intended for punishments. After the game, Hampton said: “It’s okay. I and nosebleeds never go well. I and the doctor in the past had a great story because he was going to the hospital and when he came by that he didn’t think ‘again.

How the lion women reacted
Sarina Wiegman
“It was one of the most difficult games I have ever seen. We could have been four or five times outside during the game. We really started, but I could do nothing, then we changed and scored two goals. That was crazy. Then some players were injured and had cramp, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah, Hannah [Hampton] Had blood everywhere … we missed a lot and they missed more and we’re done. I have to decompress. We have shown that we are absolutely never finished. “
