How Rachel Brosahnhan and stylist Alexandra Mandelkorn used fashion to pay tribute to Lois Lane and the “Superman” -Vover Universum

“For me, fashion should be a journey on which we always explore new ways,” said Alexandra Mandelkorn, the stylist behind the actress Rachel Brosahren’s “Superman” Press Tour. The assertive and brave “Superman” comic journalist Lois Lane served more than just a live action and reinterpretation for Brosahnhan.

In addition to David Corenswet’s title Superhelden and Nicholas Hoult’s Conniving Lex Luthor, the actress plays together in the latest adaptation of the popular comic series, which is now in theaters. During the entire “Superman” Press Tour 2025, this worked with the Emmy price -crowned “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” Alum with Mandelkorn and presented the ethos of Lois Lane as a character, while it included elements of Brosah’s own style.

Minute nod on Method dressing are put together in Brosahren’s Press Tour-Look, but their clothes of the red carpet served as an opportunity to combine a high level of sensitivity with homage to the “Superman” universe.

“For Rio we thought about funny, sexy carnival energy and found an archive Zuhair Murad that repeated this energy, and even has a diamond embroidery that was an allusion to her flag,” Mandelkorn explained to the WWD of Brosah’s Red Carpet Look in June in June.

London offered a different range to work. “We wanted European design, couture, couture fashion with some angular cutouts and found the perfect Armani -Privé dress, in which the fabric literally consisted of thousands of tiny pearls,” said Mandelkorn, referring to the dress of Giorgio Armani Privés Spring 2025 Couture Collection. “The way it was draped was not of this world and felt like draping Superman’s cloak.”

Brosahn’s back -free dress for the premiere of “Superman” in Los Angeles on July 7th was a thoughtful tribute to the source material of the film. The dress was made in what Mandelkorn described as “Lois Lane Purple”, which was actually inspired by a purple dress by Lois Lane.

Cooperation with Brosahhan during the entire press tour was a collaborative process. “I will send her something out of the box, or we will see something on a runway that we are both excited about, and then try it on and it’s just … not it,” said Mandelkorn. “But it is always fun to cross the limits of what we know.”

While such an expansive press tour could have been accepted as a discouraging challenge, Mandelkorn became the film’s advertising phase as an opportunity to connect with brands, new and old, and to strengthen the relationships. The scale in which the press covers these superhero franchise are much larger.

“I think there was a challenge to ensure that we could grasp all looks in a way we loved,” added Mandelkorn.

Brosahn’s first turn as Lois Lane also serves as its introduction to the latest iteration of the “Superman” comic film adaptation. “We definitely wanted to grasp Lois Lane’s essence – her edge, her punk roots, her fearlessness – in the fashion elections that we met, and at the same time included thematic colors in the” Superman “universe,” said Mandelkorn.

“Rachel and Lois share many similar properties, so that this was not only a dive in Lois’ style, but also a way to present the pages of Rachel that the world has not seen yet. As Lois, she was a diverse woman and was so exciting and excluded to explore different shades of herself.”
