When Sarina Wiegman turned in the final phase of the 2-1 defeat of England against France at her euro 2025 start against France, the unique need to score only one goal became very clear.

A fighting Georgia Stanway was replaced by the more bordered sense of attack Grace Clinton, while the introduction of Michelle Agyemang closes the lionesses with four strikers.

Ironically, it was a strike from the scope of the game maker Keira Walsh, who achieved England to her goal in the 87th minute, but Clinton believes that England can trust his following spirited near the game.

“We have done it so often since I was here and came back from the loss of positions,” she said.

“Especially in the last 10 minutes we always get a little energy boost and we like players [Lauren] Hempo that just doesn’t give up and you don’t stop running and it helps the team so much.

“Michelle, who had an influence, I had the feeling that we had another goal if they gave us a few more minutes, but we just have to bring it into the next game.

“I have a lot of confidence in this team. The experience we have and the players we have has all the trust in the world.”

It is a faith that is needed because England is exposed to a must-win in the Netherlands in the Netherlands on Wednesday in the Netherlands if they hope to get into the knockout phase.

Oranje Leeuwinnen was spoiled with a much friendly start to her euro campaign when they hardly left the first gear to overcome a team in Wales at an international tournament with a 3-0 win.

But for Clinton, regardless of the opposition made in front of us, England still remains able to beat someone in his day.

“When we play our game and make our game the best, everyone knows that we are sometimes inviolable,” she said.

“Obviously, our passports will go wherever you have to go, only the small details, then that would have been able to break a little more.

“It was difficult after our goal was not allowed, the swing swung and we just have to get back into the game.

“But it’s tournament football and these things will happen, and now we just have to take every game and win the next game.”

England has such a depth in the talent to make such a statement true, but the type of loss against France will mostly turn out to be worrying.

After an opening time of the dominance, the lionesses stumbled a brilliant chance for Lauren James and one of Var for an offside edge best margins of the margins.

The full -backs were suspended by the pace of France Sandy Baltimore and Delphine Cascarino and received little help from a midfield that was defensively absent. Clinton has put these worrying signals on the strength of her opponents.

“I do not think so [the midfield] act [struggle]. It was a very transitional game and France did what they had to do, ”she said.

“They have a Twos down the side and France knew what they had to do and I thought they came out and played very well.

“We played good football and I thought we made chances. We had a great chance in the first minute and then the swing when our goal was not allowed and we just have to get back into the game [in training]. “”

The Dutch play a much more technical game for the fast and direct French team that exploited England’s lack of pace in the back.

While Wiegman rarely made changes to her starting line -up at big tournaments, she has never lost a game before at a European Championship.

Since Stanway still built fitness from a spell on the sidelines by seeing the home enema of her Miss Bayern Munich in Miss Bayern Munich, it could now be time to shine Clinton.

“[Wiegman brought me on] To try to achieve a goal. We were 2-0 and she sees me, obviously in this middle field, which I can defend, but she also thinks that I am an attacking midfielder, ”she said.

“She wants me to try to get the ball and create things and achieve goals.”
