The British passengers were stranded for 17 hours after their flight was diverted because a couple were caught on board.

Those who fly from the international airport from Cancún in Mexico to London Gatwick Airport said that stranded vacationers were scattered in an air ply known as a “war zone” about air rescues.

About an hour after the 5,000-mile trip on July 8, the captain of the TUI jet bound in Great Britain announced that two passengers were smoked in the toilets

The cabin crew warned that the couple, if he continued to smoke, would have to make an emergency landing.

After another three and a half hours near the border between the USA and Canada, the pilot headed the Jet at 9:30 p.m. local time to Bangor International Airport in Maine, where the couple was removed.

According to Sun, the rest of the travelers remained on the plane for five hours.

Due to working hours boundaries, the service was finally canceled and customers had to sleep on air beds in a military base overnight in a military base.

In order to organize another trip from North America, a completely new crew had to be flown all the way from Great Britain.

Fortunately, the rescue flight started on Wednesday, July 9, at 3 p.m. local time, with all passengers being at home safely.

It was like a war zone in a lounge

Terry Lawrance

The 66-year-old Terry Lawrance, who was on the broken flight, said: “Everyone was fed up. They started to produce air beds fairly, but it was like free for vultures.

“It was like a Warzone in a lounge, rows and rows of beds. All of our luggage was still on the plane while we were waiting.”

He added: “When we had landed, they removed the two passengers. They were obviously drunk and basically attacked his partner.

“The captain then said we would get going again as soon as the documents were done.”

The standard contacted TUI for a comment.
