Elon Musks Neuralink wants to use his brain chips in the minds of the British citizens.

The company is preparing for a clinical study in Great Britain that works with the University of College London Hospitals Trust and Newcastle Hospitals.

It was asked for people who live with paralysis among diseases such as motorurone diseases or a spinal cord injury in order to register as chips set in their brain.

The chips are sewn into people’s heads and allow their brain to communicate with a computer. The company says that five people with severe paralysis already use the system to control devices with their thoughts.

Neuralink leads a website on which people can register for a “patient register” with which they can be considered for experiments.

The company was founded in 2016 by Elon Musk and other engineers and scientists. Since then it has created a brain computer interface that was used in some experiments.

These initial human experiments all focused on people with paralysis. However, Mr. Musk suggested that the chip could be used at some point to connect people more generally with computers, also by sending information directly into their brain.

It was criticized at some of his early work, including the treatment of some of the primates and other animals used in their studies.

It endeavored to expand its early attempts internationally, which included work both in Canada and in the UK.
