Dragons RFC has introduced a new ECO hub.
The hub based in Rodney Parade aims to support the sustainability efforts in Newport and throughout the Gwent region, and is part of the club’s ongoing environmental campaign.

The ECO hub, which was created from repeated storage units, will serve as a central space for community groups that focus on sustainability and environmental measures.
David Watts, sustainability advantage at Dragons RFC, said: “We are very proud to start our Eco Hub and Cycle Storage Unit, supported by Pledgall and sowing from Admiral and the WSA.
“We are very pleased to be able to tell you that the hub will now be available for all community groups that have a positive impact and that further details on the booking of the room will be shared in the coming days.”
The project was made possible by a sustainability subsidy by Admiral and Welsh Sports Association.

The hub is part of the wider “Eco Dragons” campaign of the club, which aims to reduce the club’s CO2 footprint and to promote positive environmental changes in the community.
Mr. Watts said: “As part of the ECO hub, we have several exciting plans, including the increase in biological diversity and the green in and around Rodney Parade as well as further in the local community, also in the houses of the fans.
“It is our mission to promote long -term postponement of behavior and susceptibility to sustainability messages in the community and the fan base of Dragons RFC and in the wider area of Newport City and Gwent region.”
In addition to the ECO hub, a new cycle storage unit was installed at Rodney Parade.

The facility will be available on the game days and all week and encourage supporters to travel by bike and reduce their CO2 emissions.
The cycle memory is part of the club’s advance to promote active driver transport options with carbon -rich carbon.
Mr. Watts said: “A big thank you to Alice Jardine von Admiral, who came to us and officially opened the hub.
“We all appreciate who came out to support this initiative.”
The Dragons RFC Eco campaign is supported by Pledgall.
60 percent of the project are available for sponsorship. Further information is available from David.watts@dragonsrfc.wales.
