In recent years, the blues such as Bodø/Glimt and Qarabag in Belfast have hit Healy, hoping for another famous night against Shels tonight.

The Linfield boss accepts that it is not easy to be against the reigning League of Ireland Champions, but he believes that his team will be very different from those who played in Tolka Park seven days ago.

“I would not say that you are ever happy to lose a game, but with the way the draw with regard to the fitness edge worked, which Shelbourne should have – and you did it – it wasn’t a bad result,” said Healy.
“We had to give up something last week, we worked on it and took on board the players they took on board.

“We have given up the wide areas a little and there are areas that we can improve.
“We have to make sure that we have good options, better options than what we had last week. It sometimes looked like we had done all the hard work without the ball last week when we landed on the ball, we probably gave it up cheap.
“We had no opportunity to keep the ball and create the possibilities, but one thing I will say is that we have a strong record in Windsor Park.
“These players believe that there is a chance. It will be difficult, but we can look back against Stjarnan even in the game last year when I thought we were very good.

“We lost the first leg 2-0 and then brought it back to Windsor, but ultimately lost a late goal and went out. We won the game (3: 2).
“Last year we did very comfortably from Albania at home, I think it was 3-1 at night.
“These boys believe. The majority of them in the changing room went through the ups and downs of the European runs.
“It will be a big challenge. We are probably still slightly behind the eight ball, but even if we pulled last week, we still have to win the game.
“These boys have brought many victims. It is not only the three or four weeks in the previous season for the new domestic season, but 42 weeks of hard work, tears on the way with what we have achieved.

“We don’t want to give it up in fifteen or twenty minutes. One thing that we will not do is Gung Ho from a very early phase.
“Of course we will exert a little more pressure, but you don’t want to waste 95 minutes of hard work last week and get out of the draw in the first fifteen or twenty minutes of this week.”
