Chelsea confirms Kendry Paez move as a loan agreement was announced

Chelsea has announced that Kendry Paez zu Strasbourg came to a loan in the season.

The young Ecuador star ended his move to Stamford Bridge from Independiente Del Valle this summer after turning 18 in May.

Chelsea believes that a loan with Sister Club Strasbourg in Ligue 1 is best for the next level of its development.

Paez made his debut for the Ecuadorian Club Independiente in Independiente in February 2023 and made 70 appearances for the club.

He has 18 caps for Ecuador and is expected to be seen for you at the World Cup next summer in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

He will now make 19-year-old goalkeeper Mike Penders one of two Chelsea-Loanees in Strasbourg.

The French club has also made two permanent commitments from Chelsea this summer.

Mathias Amougou made a £ 12.5 million fee at the beginning of this month, while Ishe Samuels-Smith joined GBP for 6.5 million GBP on Wednesday.
