For me, Summer Workwear is all about a colorful power suit. It is my point of contact when I want to look polished and professional without losing my meaning for style or mixing into a sea of gray.
I am Nicky Hambleton-Jones and have been a personal stylist for over 25 years. And when I have one thing that I have learned, the professional doesn’t have to mean boring or boring. The development of a strong style identity can help to pursue your career quickly by helping you to become more conspicuous and unforgettable (of course for the right reasons).
A great suit in an outstanding color does most of the work for you – simply add a simple top and a stylish pair of shoes, and you can be ready to feel confident and in the best form.
Speaking of shoes, a heel, even a low, really makes a difference. It can change how your clothes are on your body, improves her posture and relocates her way of thinking in the office. Just because you can carry coaches to work does not always mean that you should.
If paragraphs are not your thing, opt for intelligent sandals, slingbacks, ballet flats or slippers in breathable materials such as leather or suede. Choose structured styles with closed or PEEP toes to achieve the perfect balance between comfort and professionalism.
When it comes to colorful suits, my top tip is: skip the neutral to which everyone can withstand. Instead, combine your lively pants or a blazer with a supplementary pastel shade for a fresh, outstanding look. Trust me – you will get compliments all day.
In the summer months, I always recommend choosing light, natural fabrics such as linen, cotton and chambray to stay cool without sacrificing polish. These breathable materials help your skin to stay comfortable and fresh from your morning commuting to afternoon meetings.
✨ How to dress for the office in summer ✨
1. Choose breathable fabrics
2. Illuminate your color palette
3. Invest in polished pieces that you can layer
4. Hug increased summer shoes
5. Keep silhouettes relaxed, but refined
I also love to wear flowing midi skirts, wide-legs and shirt dresses in summer because they offer air flow and comfort and at the same time look intentional and ready to work if they are suitable with a structured bag or minimal jewelry. Concentrate on cuts that contour the body and let movements without looking too loose.
As for the color selection, I suggest to replace darker tones for softer shades such as ivory or pastel tones such as light blue and butter yellow. These colors reflect sunlight and give your work clothes a fresh, summer atmosphere without affecting sophistication.
Air -conditioned offices can be cold. So make sure that you also have a tailor -made blazer or a light cardigan. Go in summer weight substances that are not lined or half -laced styles to remain sharp and seasonally appropriate.
Now that you have my tips, you will find some of my favorite summer work clothes here. From the mid-range High Street brands such as French Connection and other stories to cheaper options from crew clothing, further and Mango has found something for all budgets.
