The ultimate DAD fantasy is the ultimate DAD fantasy -a daydream that depends on Lando Norris on Lando Norris on Lando Norris on Lando Norris last weekend. But with the latest driving simulator from Prodrive – a company that has made racing cars for over 40 years – the real thing, or take, can now take place in your front dream.
The first thing you should say about the Prodrive racing simulator is that you probably cannot afford it. This is nothing personal, it is just a very tailor -made driving simulator that costs at least 60,000 pounds – a number that is probably growing with more personalization. (For a context, this could buy two real used BMW X3S or a phalanx from Ford Focuses).
Nevertheless, the one I tried in the flagship of Bang & Olufsen is a beautiful product. A lot of work has been entered into the design that Prodrive designed in cooperation with pendant, the British Superyacht designer. The structure is made of pressure wood and carbon fiber that are shaped in an ergonomic onyx cover.
When you enter the simulator, you will be immediately coconved by the quality cabin with Connolly paddling and trapped in the impressively high-resolution curved screen, which absorbs almost all of your peripheral view. As a company that makes Aston Martin’s racing car, Prodrive is proud of authenticity and technology inside – from weighted steering to the strong pedal box – felt like real business.
While the Prodrive is not the most technologically advanced driving simulator on the market – the seat is static, which means that the movement of a car is not replicated – it is certainly the most beautiful. You can also try it out for free in the B&O flagship or Harrods.
