Robots are on the right track for the first time to think about people in Amazon’s storage, as the company is increasingly turning to machines to edit the millions of packages that sends it for a day.

The Tech -Riese said on Tuesday that he had more than 1 million robots worldwide, ranging from mechanical weapons to bike transporters that patrol its warehouse soils.

According to the Wall Street Journal, this number is the total number of Amazon employees who are employed in its shipping camps.

The number of robots used by Amazon has risen on five times since 2020, and in the increasing fears that automation will affect job offers.

Amazon does not say how many employees work in his camps, but they make up the majority of its 1.56 million employees, a number that has led flat in recent years.

It is claimed that his robots “work with our employees” to prevent them from lifting and enabling employees to achieve technical roles such as maintaining and monitoring the robots.

The Amazon warehouses were often dependent on human workers who often went more than 10 miles per shift when they pushed carts between the shelves to select objects for packaging.

But the company has increasingly mechanized the process. Robots with wheels usually supply bulky rotating shelves to stationary human “pickers”, which you sort, even though the company uses more robotic arms, the items are taking up.

An analysis of the Wall Street Journal showed that Amazon sent 3,870 packages per employee last year, compared to 175 in 2015. It was also shown that the number of Amazon employees per institution has dropped to the lowest level for 16 years.

The company states that there have been 700,000 employees since 2019 and that its more automated warehouses have led to an increase in the reliability, maintenance and technical jobs by 30 percent.

On Monday, research stated that the entry-level jobs in relation to AI systems such as chatgpt were in free case, with the number of job advertisements since 2022 by a third.

An Amazon spokesman said: “Our company network has developed considerably in recent years and has not only driven through growth, but also by the variety of facilities to better serve our customers.

“Since we have hired hundreds of thousands of new employees in the past ten years, we have also extended to new types of websites, and fulfillment centers and delivery stations on the sub-seed days that have smaller workers and help us to provide us with greater speed.

“These shifts supported by new automation and AI systems help us to get closer to customers, to create jobs in new communities and to improve experience for both employees and buyers.”
