According to a work published in the Scientific Journal Frontier, heart rate variability (HRV) is associated with “exceptional durability”.

What is the variability of the heart rate?

The heart rate variability (HRV) refers to the time variation between heartbeats. It is usually measured in milliseconds and requires that special devices are tracked.

This variation is managed by the autonomous nervous system (ANS), which is known from the “sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system, which is also known as a mechanism of combat or escape and relaxation reaction.

If you are stressed, in danger or sport, your heart rate is higher, which means that your HRV (the time between strokes) is lower. If you are relaxed and healthy, your HRV tends to be lower because your heart rate is slow.

This adaptation can be healthy because your body has different needs at different times. According to Cleveland Clinic, your HRV sometimes does not adapt to what is best for your body, since conditions such as diabetes, anxiety and asthma can lead to the likeable system to bring out too often high heart frequency witnesses.

This is partly the reason why researchers believe that a high HRV can be an indicator of health and durability. It can indicate that you are not too stressed in good health and get enough sleep.

Why shouldn’t the measurement of HRV always be helpful?

HRV have associated several studies with longevity and health. Why don’t we measure all of our when we practice blood pressure?

First, it is very difficult to do this exactly. And as soon as you have the results, it is difficult to interpret them on an individual level.
