Could this Greek resort take a solo parent on vacation like an actual break?

Every parent knows that the holiday solo with children is not exactly a break in the traditional sense. It is more like your usual job (parenting), only with a better landscape and without backup. But with my boyfriend at work and the desire for vitamin D, with my 21 -month -old daughter, I made my way to the Eagles Resort in Greece.

With its dreamy mixture of calm, clear water and proper adult comfort, it is a rare find-and could I actually relax? The signs promised from the moment we arrived: there was an immediate feeling that someone else was dealing with logistics, and I dared to hope that I might remember how it feels to read more than one heel or drink a coffee while it is still hot.

Where is it?

A 90-minute drive from Thessaloniki Airport (which is less than three hours away from London, the perfect, child-friendly flight time), Eagles Resort unfolds along the sun-drenched coast of the Kassandra Peninsula.

This family -owned Hideaway offers direct access to a remote band with a golden sand, in which lying down between woven straw umbrellas and the Aegean shimmer rest in a dozen blue flocks. It is the kind of place where morning starts with a barefoot walk on the shore and with sundowners that are served on the beach with a sea breeze.

While the resort offers a blissful seclusion, it is perfectly positioned for day trips to honey -colored villages such as Afitos. The majestic silhouette of the mountain athos rises from the horizon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is from one of the hotel boats with one of the boots from the deck of the hotel with one of the boots of the hotel with one of the boats of the hotel with one of the hotel with one of the boot of the hotel from the hotel one of the hotels’ boats with one of the boots of the hotel with one of the boots of the hotel from the deck from one of the hotel boats.

style

The resort looks as if it had been stuck from a Greek game book-whitewashed walls in the sun, terracotta roofs that peek through pine, and gently coated, neutral shutters that complement the quiet coastal palette. Inside, the aesthetic strikes a sweet spot between slim and soulful: airy, light-filled rooms, the carpets that are anchored by hand-woven carpets, which you want to take home with you, and statement wall hangers that add exactly the right dose of charm.

Outside, they lead winding stone paths through jasmine-fragrant gardens with a series of shady terraces for a little moment of peace.

Which space?

Apart from the main resort, the villas in the Eagles Palace offer this additional privacy from which the parents dream, but rarely. Our goods were cool and calming, with soft neutral tones, driftwood style and sesa -green sprinkles.

Soil to fourth windows framed endless sea views, with occasional seagulls fly. The private pool quickly became command for all activities such as injections and sunbathing, while the marble bath with a deep bathtub and a strong shower gives a spa-like note.

And for those who travel with more than a small side kick, the villas offer separate bedrooms with two bedrooms, so that nobody to be around in the dark after 7 p.m.

Food & drink

The food in the Eagles Resort is a gentle memory of the fact that parenting and good food do not have to rule out each other. The culinary offer of the resort is a love letter to Greek and Mediterranean flavors-think only captured seafood, characteristic meat and mezze favorites. An outstanding outstanding, lazy lunch by the sea with squid and shrimp, which were marinated with olive oil, lemon and wild herbs and were washed off with a glass of chilled rosés.
