Makhtar Gueye hopes to continue his progress as a Blackburn Rovers player after a year of adapting in England.
The striker arrived 12 months ago on July 30th. He was part of a flood of Rovers activities, with her first signing only at the end of the pre -season.

In contrast, the river this season was much more concise. Valerien Ismael will have four new commitments from the door with two to three other eyes next month.
Gueye got used to English culture like Yuki Ohashi after having come to the club without understanding the language. The physicality and intensity of the division was also a learning curve.

The great striker took English lessons in addition to teammate Ohashi once a week and made an update about his progress after a year in the club.

“I’m glad to be here, I’m very happy,” said Gueye to RoverStV.
“I didn’t have a previous season when I came here from Belgium. Now I had a previous season this year and that makes a difference physically. So I’m very good.
“My English is much better, I understand more. I can speak if I want. A lot of people helped me. I had a teacher, me and Yuki for an hour during the week.
“Trav didn’t help me; he always laughs at me. Seriously, he is a good guy, a very funny guy.”
Augustus Kargbo showed the interview with her camaraderie on the screen through her growing friendship. They connected in the pre -season on the field.

Gueye has scored two goals and placed on one for his teammate against Qatar SC. For the coming season, the 27-year-old wants to expand his six goals last season.
“My goals are the same to score more goals and do more work,” he said.
“We want to work for the team and help the team. I and Yuki want to score a lot of goals. We always work hard and we want to win games.”
