The bosses of the FIFA of the World Football management committee on Wednesday refused to confirm on Wednesday that the 2026 World Cup will take place in Las Vegas, the same city in which the 1994 World Cup took place in the USA.

Nations around the world are involved in qualification of games for the tournament, which begins on June 11th with the opening game in the Estadio Azteca in Mexico city. Guadalajara and Monterrey will also provide stadiums for games in Mexico.
Argentina, who defeated France in a penalty shot in Qatar in the final in 2022, booked their place with Ecuador and Brazil at the tournament from the 10-team South American confederation.

France fights for a place in the 2026 competition between September and November with Azerbaijan, Iceland and Ukraine, which culminates on July 19 at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.
Ten other American cities will organize games while Toronto and Vancouver offer venues in Canada.
