Alison Hahn, Sephora’s head of make -up and fragrance to retire

A mastermind of some of the most important categories of Sephora should retire.

Alison Hahn, Senior Vice President of Merchandising for Make -up, fragrance and Sephora in the Kohls, will retire at the end of August.

With effect from August 25, the organization has made some changes to its internal organization, including Carye Campbell’s promotion to Senior Vice President Merchandising for Buftrance.

Amy Abrams, Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Make -up, extends her area of responsibility to the entire category. Jennifer Cohen, Vice President of Makeup Merchandising, will report Abrams. Laurette Puhlmann takes over the entire Sephora collection from Make -up and is promoted to senior director. She will report Cohen and Sephora will also open a new Vice President of Merchandising role for make -up. Sydney Feeter and Jessica Harvey will also report abrams.

For Sephora at Kohls, Bronwen Russell will lead Merchandising and lead to Carolyn Bojanowski, Executive Vice President of Merchandising, USA, at the retailer.

“Alison leaves an incredible heritage and imprint of our business,” Bojanowski wrote to the employees in a memo. “As one of the most talented merchants in the beauty community, she was at the forefront of discovering many breakout brands, including house laboratories, Rare Beauty and Kayali. She also contributed to expanding the fragrance category, and was significantly involved in signing over 100 beauty brands at Sephora near Kohl.”

Make-up is the largest category of Beauty on the US Prestige Market, while fragrances of the second place and the fastest grows and both were busy in Sephora. Mary Phillips revealed the introduction of her new make -up brand M.PH on Monday at the retailer. Selena Gomez’s rare beauty performs the fragrance in Sephora, as reported on Tuesday.

“There are so many different customers out there who are interested in many different things. They all have great innovations, they are great new voices in the make -up, especially in art, and we love to prioritize aspiring talents,” said Hahn about Phillips’ brand. “We strive to be the best. This is our job to deliver great brands and products to our customers. This is our Nordstar.”

Hahn stepped in Sephora after working in home, fashion and accessories and how to honor the WWD in 2023 at the time of its CEW Women’s Leadership Awards: “Every good dealer and good business must first think of the customer.
