SpaceX starts 28 Starlink satellites from Florida on Saturday Douleheader (video)

A new group of Starlink satellites revolves the earth after a start in the early Saturday morning (July 26) of Florida.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket that was withdrawn from the space start complex 40 (SLC-40) at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida at 5:01 a.m. The upper stage of the booster reached a preliminary orbit about nine minutes after leaving the floor.

The 28 broadband internet satellites (group 10-26) were released into the low Earth orbit for about an hour.

“Provision of 28 Starlink satellites confirmed,” confirmed SpaceX in the social media network X.

The start is the first of two Starlink missions planned for the day. SpaceX has planned a second start with 24 satellites of the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 8:55 p.m. PDT LOCAL (11:55 p.m. EDT or 0355 GMT on July 27).

Booster 1078 missions

As planned, the first stage of Falcon 9 separated in about 2 minutes after the ascent from the upper level and then carried out a driving return to earth, one of his engines landed on “A deficiency in Gravitas”, an autonomous droneship that was stationed in the Atlantis -Ozean. The booster (B1078) completed its 22nd flight.

The start took place two days after the Starlink network experienced a 2.5-hour failure and influenced customers all over the world. The problem was attributed to a “failure of the most important internal software services that operate the core network”, according to an update that was published on the Starlink account in the X Social Media network.

“The network problem has been remedied and the Starlink service was restored. We understand how important the connectivity is and apologize for the disorder,” wrote SpaceX official.

The start on Saturday increased the total number of active Starlink satellites in orbit over 8,000. SpaceX is currently licensed for the provision of 12,000 of the relay units.
