The Eurostar chaos as a passenger should cancel their travels in the middle of serious disorders in London-Paris trains

The Eurostar passengers were on Wednesday with the travel chaos when the operator advised them to terminate or postpone the trips after separate incidents.

On Tuesday, two people were killed in separate incidents on the railway lines between Paris and Lille, which led to significant disorders.

The company has now said that cable theft near Lille has created another chaos in the network.

Most of the trains between London St. Pancras and Paris Gare Du Nord on Wednesday morning were delayed or canceled.

The passengers reported that they had been stranded up to seven hours when they were waiting to hear when they were able to make their journey across the canal.

Eurostar said on his website: “Due to cable theft near Lille Europe, our trains should be exposed to serious delays and last-minute cancellations. We recommend that you cancel or move your journey.”

The people affected by the delays were recommended to apply for compensation if they delay themselves by more than 60 minutes.

A passenger reported that they had been stranded in Brussels without providing information about the next train to London.

They were told that they could take “every train” to their goal, but warned that there was no guarantee for a seat.

The delays affected by the delays have ventilated their frustration online.

A passenger said on social media: “My disabled niece had no other choice to sleep on the ground of the Gare Du Nord Paris station last night. Due to the cancellation of trains that drive to London because all hotels were not available for the low price. Ruined their birthday vacation.”

Another said last night: “For the passengers who were recorded in the trains in Garde du Nord, the supplies on food and drinks run out, Air con does not work, coffee machine broken like the card machine !! Total joke.”

A passenger who desperately tried to return from Paris to London to catch a coach to Glastonbury said: “It was very hot and chaotic in Gare North last night with not much instructions from the employees. They only made the same announcement again and again.

On Wednesday morning, long queues were founded internationally in St. Pancras when the passengers hoped to convert on later trains.

A couple who lives outside of Sydney, Australia, said they had just arrived and hoped to get a train at 1 p.m.

“We were booked to go 11, but we were told that a cable had been stolen, so our travel agency booked us until 1 a.m.

“I hope we come (to Belgium) because we booked Fields Fields tomorrow and if not, I hope that travel insurance will cover the costs of everything we would miss.

“It’s pretty stressful, but you just have to wait and see what happens.”

A family of three from the United States also hoped to get on the same train.

“We haven’t delayed or canceled yet. We are constantly reviewing our messages.”

A spokesman for Eurostar said: “We are deeply sorry for confirming that there were two separate deaths on the high -speed border between Lille and Paris yesterday. Our thoughts are among the families and friends of those who have lost their lives.

“The line was closed for a large part of the afternoon and evening, which led to considerable disorders of the Eurostar services, including cancellations on routes from and to Paris. Trains on the Route London breaks -Amsterdam were still led with delays.

“This morning the disorder continues due to the effects of displaced persons and crews. In addition, the services were further influenced by an incident of cable theft on the same line near Lille. The trains are diverted via deflection, which leads to longer travel times.

“We are very sorry for the effects that this has on our customers. Our teams work closely with the French authorities and the infrastructure teams to manage the situation and safely restore the services.

“Customers were contacted directly with updates and available options. Water is distributed in late trains, and the station teams remain to support. Affected customers can change their travel plans free of charge or request a complete refund.”
