The blues will now compete against Benfica in the next round in Charlotte in the next round in Charlotte.
Delap’s goal took place in a few moments after defender Tosin Adarabioyo had in the first half opened the rating and brought Chelsea to a command position.
The 22-year-old took a pass from Enzo Fernandez, turned past a defender and pressed himself in front of another before he rolled the ball into the net, even though goalkeeper Bechir Ben said, made minimal efforts to stop the shot.
It represented Chelsea’s first return for her 30 million pound investment in Delap, who reported Manchester United for the Stamford Bridge.

Delap told the club’s website, Chelseafc.com: “Obviously it is a really happy feeling and hopefully it is the first of many.
“I spoke to Enzo (Maresca) and he told me when he made the ball just run. It was a great pass and luckily he went inside.
“I love playing football and playing for such a good team is a great feeling.
“We had to win to get through and we are all happy that we are to the next level.”

Chelsea’s victory was rounded off by replacement tyrique George, which was added at the end of the game, even though Ben made a bad attempt to save.
However, the prelude was not very accidental when Adarabioyo put a fine header in the post of a well-delivered Fernandez free kick.

This goal broke the spirit of the Tunisians, who skipped Chelsea into the overall ranking with a victory and would have eliminated Enzo Maresca’s team.
Maresca, who made eight changes, was satisfied with the performance of his team, who came in her previous game after her loss against Flamengo.
The Italian said: “It was important to jump back and win. Now we can think about the next one.
“It was very important to be patient, and when we found the goal, it became a little more open.
“We are happy about all players, especially for those who have long left for a long time.
“We are now in the last 16 of 32 teams. Hopefully we can go to the last eight.”
