Boro suffered a 2-0 defeat at Valley Parade, with Bangura and McGree both left the field before the half-time interval.

Bangura, who missed the entire last season with a serious Achilles injury, was clearly disturbed when he was discontinued in the opening quarter of the hour, and was obviously uncomfortable when he limped the touch at half -time.
Edwards comforted the defender after being replaced and unveiled after the game that Bangura would only play for 30 minutes to build his fitness.
“We hope that they are not too serious (the two injuries),” said the Boro boss. “There are 430 days when Alex was on the road. He recently got half an hour (in Mansfield), but the reason for him was that we wanted him to warn with the boys at the beginning of the game.
“The plan was that it will start after 30 minutes. So it’s about thinking everything for him because it is not too serious. We will know in the next few days.”

McGree suffered from a series of muscular problems last season and signaled the bank when he experienced a close in his knee tendons shortly before the break. Here, too, Edwards hopes that the Australian has not suffered a serious setback.
“Riley only felt tight,” he said. “We hope that it is nothing more than that. After the game on Saturday, Riley felt that he wanted to work a little more on the intensity.
“I know that was in his head. He flew around tonight and I think he felt that things only tighten a little.”
Boro was beaten by the opposition of the League One tonight, and Bradford opened the rating when Antoni Sarcevic converted a hotly striving penalty shortly before the interval and doubled her lead when Swan hit a low finish through Sol Brynn’s legs.

The Teessiders constructed some decent pass movements, especially in the first half, but were largely without an end product in the last third.
“When we look back on it, we will see that sometimes we got the last third so well,” said Edwards. “But then we have to make more of it.
“There were some great plays, but that’s not enough. Of course I’m interested, but I am more interested in working, scoring shots and scoring goals.
“The boys know that. They recognize this there – it is a case to make a better decision, to do things better when they shoot. We have some really good players, especially in these last third parties, but we need a little more of them now.”
