Ibiza Rocks blocked music events after the death of British at the venue

The Ibiza Rocks Hotel and Party Hotspot in Ibiza canceled the upcoming events after the death of two British tourists on the premises last month.

The 19-year-old ice hockey star Gary Kelly fell on Monday a fatal fall from the third floor of the four-star hotel, while 26-year-old Evan Thomson died on July 7th.

Two other tourists have died at the event location in the past three months. A 33-year-old British woman with an existing heart disease on April 30 and a 19-year-old Italian tourist who fell from the fourth floor of the balcony on April 27.

In a social media contribution, the Ibiza Hotel said that it was “shocked by the recent incidents and destroyed”, adding that his priority “should support those affected and their relatives in this incredibly difficult time”.

The contribution continued: “In view of the seriousness of the situation and out of respect for those involved, we believe that it is rightly the right to pause our advertised event program at this time.”

It is not clear what events will not go on, although Dizzee Rascal should play this week according to the event planner of the hotel and the Drum’n’bass band Rudimental was expected on July 30th. The hotel did not state how many events were canceled.

The hotel was criticized by the friends and the family of Evan Thomson that they claim that the hotel had resumed “business as usual” after Thomson’s death.

The 25 -year -old friend Blair Robertson told Press and Journal: “We heard the Jet laundry out of the ground to clean the area where Evan died, and it has been for about 90 minutes since it was found.

“That was the worst of hearing for us – how quickly they tried to make things back to normal.

“They brought us out of the hotel around 9 a.m. and took us to a new hotel on the street. It was as if they wanted to return to the shop as soon as possible.

“It was just a very traumatic experience. They just wanted to get out of us – and to start the party again. It was a disregard for life.”

Another friend, James Shan, claimed that the hotel had posted advertising content on social media within a few hours after Thomson’s death.

The standard contacted the hotel for an explanation of these claims.

The Ibiza Rocks Hotel said in a statement after Mr. Thomson’s death: “This is a really tragic and extremely sad situation.

“Our senior management team Onsite has done everything to help the police have investigated events that led to Evans’s death and to constantly support Evans to support.”

“This included that you have 24-hour access to our senior manager for help or questions and give you permission to pass on your mobile phone number to Evans family if you want to call us directly.

“They were very grateful for all the help and support in such a difficult time.

“We are deeply sad about Evan’s death and our thoughts are still with his family and friends in this really difficult time.”

In the most recent tragedy, the investigations on the death of the ice hockey star Gary Kelly have not yet been completed.
