Sarina Wiegman provides England injury update with Triple Boost for the semi-finals of the Euro 2025

The English manager Sarina Wiegman published an injury update before the semi-final showdown of women against Italy.

The Lionesses overcome Sweden through a dramatic penalty shootout in the quarter -finals last Thursday, but had several injury concerns that came out of the game.

Leah Williamson, Lucy Bronze and Lauren James all appeared as doubts after they had hit the Swedes, but the trio was present in training together with the rest of the squad on Monday morning.

As a result, Wiegman will have a complete squad against Le Azzurre, which represents a route at a second euro final for the current owners.

Wiegman confirmed the dream scenario in the press conference before the game on Monday and said: “This is how it looks.

“We have a headache all the time because many players can start.

“This is what makes the team strong. Before each game we will take many things into account, we will do it tomorrow.”

Wiegman also rejected suggestions that the Lionesses are the favorites for the semi-final showdown, even though they were eight places over Italy in the world rankings.

“I think it would be really disrespectful in Italy that we are the favorites,” she added. “You did the semi -finals as we did, it is impressive for every team to do the Semis.

“Complaint is the biggest mistake a team can make. We saw how they played. I don’t think we can think that we are the favorite.

“We have to be of our best to win the game.”
