Cricket Club near Wycombe celebrates the 25th anniversary of the KWIK -Cricket tournament

The Winchmore Hill Cricket Club celebrated 25 years of its annual Kwik -Cricket tournament.

A celebration on Sunday, July 13th, was the milestone for the popular tradition that many generations of young players introduced into the game.

The tournament was launched by Glynis Culley in 2000, which still leads the event.

On this occasion, Chris Edwards, a former Colt and former winner of the tournament, kept an opening speech and thanked Glynis for her remarkable commitment to Junior Cricket and her unshakable commitment to the club.

The club described the day, which called it wonderfully, with “four parking spaces that buzzed with activity, the smell of grill in the air and the sound of enthusiastic cheering players, parents and supporters”.

In addition to the cricket, the families enjoyed sweet stands, homemade cakes, a visit from the ice wagon and refreshments from the bar, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The Winchmore Hill Cricket Club was also very proud to have submitted their first all-girl team into the tournament.

The international referee Anna Harris accepted both the final under 9 and under 10.
