Albion might have signed a successor to Lewis Dunk – but the skipper is not yet ready to step back for a while.
This is the judgment of the former captain and central defender Adam Virgo after studying Diego Coppola in action.

Coppola, who was signed for £ 9.4 million, played in Hella’s Verona games, in which Virgo was in common in his role for TNT Sports.
The 21-year-old 6-foot 21-year-old then impressed in the euro for Italy-U21.
Jungfrau said to the Argus: “He is a no-nonsense center.
“The price you paid for him is an indication of where it is, but I know that larger clubs in Italy viewed him.
“Verona was quite a defensive team this season.
“It would be interesting to see him with the ball at his feet and play for a team that is a little more expansive.
“You always trust the process with what Brighton has repeatedly done with commitments. He is an exciting signing.”

Dunk was affected by injuries last season and was not always the best of his dominant, but will have a real break and pre -season this summer.
Virgo said: “Lewis still has a lot of time with the club.
“He did more than enough to justify his place in the team.

“To say that will change if time is right, and this could be the springboard for the future in the middle.
“It also indicates that there could be versatility in terms of team education.

“Series A is a back three league, and when I saw it, Coppola played well in the middle of a three.
“I will be interested in seeing how he will finish at the pace of the Premier League because there is a difference.”
