This was the first meeting between the couple in a Grand Slam final, and today is the second, since the fans hope for a similar drama in SW19.
Sinner grazed Novak Djokovic on Friday in straight sets after reaching Alcaraz his third Wimbledon final in a row after defeating Taylor Fritz. He won the two previous ones.
“He is the favorite,” said Sinner about Alcaraz. “He won here twice in a row. He is back in the final. It is very difficult to beat him in the grass, but I like these challenges. This is the second Grand Slam in a row that we have in the final and play what is great on my side. I think it’s good for sport.”
Alcaraz asked about his thoughts: “I just hope that I will not be five and a half hours at the Court again. But if I have to, I’ll do it.”
