Colchester United Women Welcome Ipswich Town Groundshare Agreement

Colchester United Women welcomed the Groundshare agreement between the city of U’s and Ipswich.

The city’s women’s and under teams will play their home games in the Job Serve Community Stadium in the seasons 2025/26 and 2026/27.

Colchester says that the agreement enables you to invest directly in considerable pitch improvements this summer.

Danielle Warnes, the Colchester United Women’s FC FC, said: “I am incredibly proud of the journey that our team continues to make, two consecutive advertising campaigns in so many seasons are a clear sign of our intention, resistance and growing quality.

“The reaching of Tier 6 is a milestone, but not a goal. It is part of a measured and sustainable path plan that we have outlined.

Ipswich Town Women will play football for the first time after their campaign for the newly renowned WSL2.

You had previously played your home games with Felixstowe and Walton United’s Martello Ground for more than a decade.

Colchester women have just secured a second campaign in successive action and the next season will compete in the women’s league in the eastern region.

In an explanation that was published after the news that Ipswich women will play in the Joberve Community Stadium, the Colchester United Women said: “While our team is still in the early phases of their trip, we are proud of the visibility and investment that has already been achieved and inspired on the highest levels of the women’s game.

‘Ipswich Town Women’s elevation to WSL2 is a great example of what can be achieved with the right support, infrastructure and ambition.

We are determined to develop our program further to achieve the level in which the hosting of top games in the JobServe Community Stadium will also be part of our future.
