Eurostar extends his London St. Pancras-Amsterdam service

Eurostar extends its service between London and Amsterdam with a fifth direct train that starts from December 15th.

The operator said that the additional train was made possible thanks to a new Kreuzkanal terminal that opened in the Dutch capital in February 2025.

It enables Eurostar to triple its capacity on the route – from 275 passengers in 2024 to more than 650 passengers per train at the end of this year.

The passenger volume from London to Amsterdam has increased by 18 percent since the upgrade compared to the previous year.

The managing director of Eurostar, Gwendoline Czenave, said: “London to Amsterdam is one of the most busy routes in Europe. With five daily returns and more than 3,000 seats per day, we offer a sustainable alternative to the trip between Great Britain and the Netherlands.

“We have seen an extraordinary demand on our Amsterdam route since February, and the addition of a fifth daily service offers customers more selection and flexibility. It is our goal to offer a sustainable alternative and to increase international high-speed rail as a customer as the first choice in Europe.”

In 2024, Eurostar transported 4.3 million passengers and the Netherlands.

Eurostar wants to wear 30 million passengers a year, supported by acquiring a new fleet and additional destinations from Amsterdam such as Geneva.

The fifth service means that Eurostar will drive from London St. Pancras to Amsterdam every weekday: 6.16 a.m., 8.16 a.m., 11.04 a.m. and 5 p.m.

The trains depart for St. Pancras on weekdays at 6.40 p.m., 10.40 a.m., 2:40 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6.40 p.m.
