Doctors against the NHS software from Palantir set “ideology about patient interest”.

Doctors who speak out against the software developed by Palantir in the NHS have “elected ideology about patient interest,” said the British head of the Tech giant, said MP.

Louis Mosley appeared on Tuesday as part of his innovation show case in front of the Committee on Science, Innovation and Technology.

While he also claimed there that Palantir had a “difficulty reputation” and said that it was “very proud” for the work it does in Israel.

Palantir was co-founded by the billionaire Tech entrepreneur Peter Thiel, who was an early supporter of US President Donald Trump and worked with the US government.

It was announced in November 2023 that a group listed by Palantir received a contract for £ 330 million for the provision of the NHS Federated Data Platform (FDP).

The common software system will make it easier for health and care organizations to work together and offer the patients better services, but the participation of Palantir caused concerns about the use of patient data.

When asked by MPs, how the company protects the privacy of patients and whether data is processed outside of Great Britain or are accessible by a foreign government, Mosley said: “The important thing our software works and how they are used in the NHS is that the data regulators who control the legal responsibility in the areas that are in control of the legal responsibility, into the NHS, are be taken into account.

“So each of them receives their own instance of our software, and they control, who has access to control them which data are integrated into them, and they implement and enforce the data protection guidelines, which they consider appropriately.”

He also emphasized that Palantir “does not lead any economic benefits from the data, the data is the customer”.

Mr. Mosley claimed that doctors who decided to participate Palantir in the FDP as “ideology about patient interest”.

After the British Medical Association (BMA) has submitted an application in which the company is an “unacceptable election” for the FDP at its annual representative meeting in Liverpool last month.

The members of the union voted for the BMA lobby work against the introduction of Palantir software in the healthcare system and called for the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs to examine the progress of the progress of the systems throughout the NHS.

When Mr. Mosley was asked, he said: “I was very disappointed to see. I think the accusation that we lack transparency or this is secret is wrong.

“I think the BMA has selected the ideology of the patient interest if I may be open.
