This year, some good news seemed to write for travelers – the recent developments at several British airports saw that it looked for visitors via London Gatwick, Edinburgh and other locations for visitors.
This is because you have installed new scanners that use computer tomography (CT), which can also be seen in medical devices. These make the content of a passenger bag in more detail available for the employees.
However, the transport secretary Heidi Alexander spoke with Times Radio a safety -proof level of cold water that they can bring all liquids they like on board.
“THe monitored this new technology, the new scan technology, from the individual airports himself, ”she said.
“You have different contracts, different providers.”
The travel secretary warned that we should still stick to the 100 ml limit at most locations
Although several airports have the technology that make 100 ml of limits outdated, they are taken over at different prices.
Some airports have a combination of older and new technology, which means that 100 ml containers are still recommended.
“We have a situation in Edinburgh and Birmingham, in which you have now present the new technology, and so people who are on the go can take liquids in containers with them,” Alexander told Times Radio.
“The 100 ML rule remains in place at all other airports.”
She added: “In my view, passengers who travel from airports where the technology is available can give flexibility, it would be wrong to pass that everyone should travel with the 100 ml.
“My advice … [is] That you should work on the basis that it is 100 ml at the moment unless you heard from your airport, ”she continued, even though she is hopeful,“ that we will get to a point where all airports are available shortly so that all of these can have additional flexibility if you travel ”.
What are the current British liquid rules for airports?
According to the government’s website, the rules for liquids exclude the special nutritional needs, baby food or baby milk required for medical purposes.
However, if these do not apply, we are still limited to 100 ml for the time being. Even if a container with more than 100 ml is only partially full, most airports will have a problem with security.
If you are installed in airports at airports throughout the UK and put into operation, hopefully you will bring more liquids through hand luggage.
At the moment, however, you should check this with the airport from which you fly, and the one you land in to convey twice. If in doubt, bring 100 ml with you.
