However, growing concerns about extreme heat and running fire risks cause some families to change the course.
According to Paul Charles, founder of Luxury Travel Consultancy, the PC agency, countries like Finland have an increase in demand at peak times.
While the Mediterranean is still a fixed favorite, Charles says that some British choose milder climate zones and arouse interest in traditionally cooler places.
“There is no doubt that these countries visit more British in July and August and are busy during the summer vacation,” he said.
But “People still want vacation in hotter travel destinations and many people also have holiday homes there, so they will continue.”
It happens when emergency services on the Greek island of Crete continues to fight for a rapidly common forest fire, which led to the fact that hotels and houses along the coast have caused evacuations.
In the early Thursday, the authorities ordered evacuations at three locations outside the port city of Ierapetra on the south coast of the island.
So far, more than 1,500 people were forced to leave their houses, many of which were reported to be damaged as flames – driven by strong winds – raced by forested slopes.
Forest fires in Turkey are now raging for four days. More than 50,000 people were evacuated from five regions, including more than 42,000 in the city of Izmir.
Mr. Charles said there will be some families who are asking themselves whether to continue to visit hotter goals or whether they should consider traveling outside the speaker, but overall people are not postponed from abroad.
When asked about industry trends, Charles said “flights have never been bustle from Great Britain.”
“This year a million more people from Great Britain will disappear, so this summer we see a record number of people who are determined to get away.
“For many travelers, occasional problems such as forest fires, heat waves or traffic control are taken into account. I think you have found that you now take your vacation and summarize with your vacation.
“But it is not to travel people. The question that increases again and again is where they go and they begin to see a small number of people who try out different goals.
“I do not think that the trend of British vacationers who go to the Mediterranean will be greatly reduced because they want guaranteed warmth. There are many who still want this, and they will correspond to the risk and temperature.”
The Blackstock family from Kent is one of those who choose a stay this year instead of traveling to overseas. The six-six-six family usually visits Spain, but said that it is becoming increasingly difficult to deal with the extreme heat.
The chiropractor Dean Blackstock said: “We thought we would try to go to a place like Turkey, where it is probably a little more a tolerable heat, in contrast to this dry intense heat, which we are currently coming across Europe, but then we have learned from the forest fires there.”
“It is becoming increasingly difficult for people to plan this type of public holidays in advance because they not only fight against the heat, but also fight against the chance against forest fires,” said Blackstock.
“I think if it were just my partner and I would probably still go, but the idea of being stranded somewhere with children at the end of a vacation or saying that they cannot go if we obviously have obligations for work and dogs.
“It’s just another consideration that we never really had years ago.”
